Karl Gélinas

Pitching Coach
Karl was a 2002 Anaheim Angels draft pick. He played one year of Junior College at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
He then signed with the Angels and started his professional career in 2003. In his 4+ seasons with the Angels, he made his way to AAA. Since 2007, Karl has been an integral part of the Capitales de Quebec organization (Can-Am League). After his 2013 campaign, he signed a AAA contract with the Phillies, but was released out of camp.
In 2017 Karl played in the Mexican league for the Puebla Pericos.
Karl has been a player/coach with the Quebec Capitales since midway through the 2016 campaign. He pitches and he has been coaching the pitching staff the past 3 full seasons. His experience as a professional ball player for 17 years, has given Karl the opportunity to be the pitching coach for France's National Team at the European Cup and the WBC Qualifiers.
Karl is presently the pitching coach at the Académie de Baseball du Canada (Quebec’s Elite Youth Baseball Program) and Head Coach of the Quebec Diamants (Junior Elite).
With his pitching career coming to a near end, his main focus is now coaching and giving back to the baseball community.
